Ride the Horns is AZ-G’s annual fund raising event. It happens in the first half of March every year on a Sunday. Much energy is expended by all the Chapter members to make this a success. All riders are invited to attend. Fliers will appear at most of the motorcycle businesses and a sizable number of restaurants starting in early January. Early registration is encouraged as this allows us to properly plan for the number of participants.
The event is held at The Longhorn Grill in Amado, AZ. The Longhorn Grill has been very good to us. Not only do they allow us to use their grounds for vendors and merchandise stalls but they open up just for us on Sunday morning and provide a delicious lunch for all attendees after the ride.
The sub-pages here will give a brief pictorial history of Ride the Horns and some insight into how it is run. Hopefully this will be not only an historical account but also food for thought for other Chapters intending to run an event similar to this. Click on the links below.
