Bob Ryen is working on rides and needs to present them to the Chapter and get ride Captains established. The first rides will be based on the “Touring Arizona” program sponsored by AZ District.. We will try to concentrate on the closer rides first and cover multiple destinations on single rides. This isn’t as hard as it seams. Take a look at the Tri-fold Brochure . When you are ready to start, copy the Brochure and Give the Registration Form (included on the Tri-fold) to Carl or Bob and the next meeting along with your entry fee of $7 per Rider and Co-Rider. Copy the Touring Arizona Check List and carry it and your camera along with you on the rides. When you have fulfilled the requirement for each geographical region, turn a copy of your check list and your photos over to Carl or Bob. That’s all there is to it.
Rides will be scheduled no more than two or three a month. Longer rides will be scheduled on weekends so the maximum number can participate.
Bob has scheduled ride coordinator meetings for the first Tuesday of every month. Please come and help Bob with this task. Be ready to volunteer to Ride Captain occasionally. Check the meeting schedule on the Events page.
Looking for a ride? Try using the following sites for ideas. Motorcyclerides.com has listings of all kinds of rides across the US and rates them on a number of issues. Byway.org is a bit more esoteric in nature but could be useful for a more freestyle ride.
If you wish to submit a ride please come to the Ride Coordinator’s Meeting which is normally scheduled the Tuesday after the regular monthly meeting with the exception of August and September. Use the Suggested Ride Form and complete it with as much information as you can. If you cannot attend the meeting in person, send the form to Bob Ryen so that he can present your idea.
